I agree with most of your critique of democrats, but in the reality of the two-party system we currently operate in, I'd take them over republicans on every issue you bring up. Democrats are "failing to advocate for the poorest Americans." They also brought us Obamacare and Republicans are currently planning how they will gut Medicaid. Outsized influence of interest groups and billionaires? See the coup currently underway by the space nazi. Foreign policy. See the "war on terror" and forthcoming plans for a Trump Tower in Gaza! I don't want to make you rail on about republicans every time you write, but decontextualized criticism of the good guys (or the better guys) is problematic.
I do think I put a good amount of context in this one...I called the GOP "the filthy shower drain of America, collecting the most dishonest, gross, corrupt, stupid, mean, allegedly pedophilic, racist, and economically illiterate elites in the country."
I love your thinking. I love that you care enough to clarify your position vis a vis the left. However, I think it detracts from your argument to indulge in name calling. It's not necessary to liken the GOP to a shower drain when the positions they take are patently harmful and dehumanizing. The facts alone are enough to move the reader.
